Third G20 Investment and Infrastructure Working Group Meeting was held in Bali, June 2nd

The 3rd G20 Investment and Infrastructure Working Group (IIWG) meeting under the Chinese Presidency was held in Bali, Indonesia on June 2nd, 2016. Delegates from G20 members, invited guest countries and relevant international organizations attended the meeting. The meeting was co-chaired by delegates from Ministry of Finance of Germany, Indonesia, Mexico and China. Participants conducted in-depth discussions and reached consensus on the draft deliverable documents of the three pillars in 2016 IIWG agenda, namely ‘encouraging Multilateral Development Banks to advance infrastructure investment by taking joint actions’, ‘promoting global infrastructure connectivity’, and ‘exploring diversified financing approaches and fostering private financing’. In addition, IIWG members were updated about the progress made under ‘SME Finance, Corporate Governance’ as follow-up issues.

The IIWG members agreed to submit the deliverable documents to the Finance and Central Bank Deputies Meeting, which will be held in Xiamen, China during June 22-23.
